Violence, abuse, and harassment against politically-active women is an escalating global issue. Comprehensive solutions involving governments, political parties, civil society, and social media regulation are essential to address this growing problem and protect women in politics.

The effect of inter-municipal cooperation on social assistance programs

Decentralised administration of social assistance programs requires significant organisational capacity. In some circumstances, inter-municipal cooperation can enhance local policy implementation but impact evaluations have focused on public services that are capital-intensive, and on the effect of cooperation on service costs rather than quality.

        Capitalism recoupled

This paper examines the forces that have decoupled economic prosperity from social prosperity, and explores how recoupling can be promoted. Globalisation, technological advance and 'financialisation' have weakened the connections between economies and societies over the past four decades, according to the paper. The authors want to jettison the premise that social progress follows financial performance from economic decision-making.

New book co-edited by Jo Wolff on structural injustice and the law

When a society’s normal functioning disadvantages entire groups of people (for example women, or precarious workers), philosophers call it ‘structural injustice’. A new book co-edited by the Blavatnik School's Professor Jonathan Wolff explores how the law can both create and address different forms of structural injustice.
