Hannah is a policy researcher and campaigner with nearly ten years of experience promoting civility and gender equality in public life. At the School, she leads the Strengthening Democracy by Reducing Threats to Women in Politics project, which aims to address violence, abuse, intimidation and harassment towards politically active women. She is completing her doctorate at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the University of Oxford where she traces the politicisation of violence towards politicians in the UK, and working with The Jo Cox Foundation to promote civility in public life. She regularly speaks at events, writes blogs and appears on the media. She has worked at the local, national and international level including at the United Nations and UK House of Commons. Originally from Scotland, she completed her undergraduate degree at Harvard University and her MSc at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
