Combining Eastern European origins with Western education and work experience, Ema enjoys comparing and critically evaluating the two worlds. She was born and raised in the east part of Slovakia, educated in the Czech Republic and London, subsequently gained some Brussels experience, and made a U-turn back to her home country where, she feels, she can be of best use in a country whose specifications, history, and political realm are well known to her.

For the past three years, Ema has focused on the Slovak Recovery and Resilience Plan, which is part of the European reform and investment package created after the COVID-19 pandemic but after almost five years of experience in the public sector in Slovakia, Ema has a strong urge to acquire a bigger picture perspective.
