The Blavatnik School of Government exists to support better government worldwide – and every government in the world is facing an extraordinary test. The coronavirus pandemic presents an unprecedented challenge both to public health and to the economy. Our faculty and researchers are assembling at speed some of the evidence and thinking needed by governments and citizens worldwide. This page draws together various projects and commentary, as well as showcasing some of the work our wider community, such as students and alumni, is doing in the face of the pandemic.
We collaborate frequently with colleagues across the University of Oxford, which is bringing its extraordinary breadth and depth of research to the pandemic. Oxford researchers are working on a vaccine, developing treatments, developing new ventilators, informing public health, developing testing, and much more.
