The findings of a UN taskforce on net zero that drew on Blavatnik School expertise and projects were launched today at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Blavatnik School’s Professor Thomas Hale is on the expert group of the Taskforce on Net Zero Policy, an initiative launched during COP28 last year which furthers the work of the UN Secretary General’s High-Level Expert Group on the Net-Zero Emissions Commitments of Non-State Entities. The taskforce has launched two major reports, the first of which is based on data from the Climate Policy Monitor, launched yesterday, and its precursor the Net Zero Stocktake. Thomas co-leads both.
