I am interested in the intersection of narrative and policy, focusing in particular on improving the representation of the Middle East in popular media and reorienting US foreign policy in the region towards human needs. As a former Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow at Win Without War, I worked on reimagining US security spending to invest in the tools necessary to confront today and tomorrow's major challenges, such as the climate crisis and mass inequality. I am particularly interested in the use of storytelling to engage the public on global issues and my screenplays have placed in several competitions. I hold a double BS with honors in international relations and English from The Ohio State University, and a Master of Studies in Film Aesthetics from the University of Oxford.
