Ashima is a lawyer by profession and a policy consultant by practice. With over seven years of experience in India’s public policy sector, Ashima is passionate about developing policy reforms that address the intersection of education, healthcare, and climate change to improve the well-being of marginalised communities. After a stint as a capital markets lawyer, Ashima transitioned into the policy sector to deepen her expertise in India’s socio-economic ecosystem.

Having worked in a government school in Delhi for two years, Ashima co-founded a non-profit organisation that provides tech-enabled solutions to building climate resilience among marginalised communities, and which has supported 75,000+ individuals with COVID-19 vaccinations. She has been nominated for India’s COVID Soldier Award. Ashima has worked with several state governments, NGOs, and corporates, focusing on improving policy design and implementation strategies to develop effective climate adaptation and resilience solutions at the grassroots.
