Arunima Rajeev Joshi
I am a development professional from Pune, India. My career began as a software engineer, and I transitioned into the space of social development two years ago. Since then, I have worked with the Maharashtra state government on streamlining and strengthening the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) and ensuring effective implementation of the National Nutrition Mission (flagship programme to tackle malnutrition). As a rural development fellow associated with an international NGO, I have worked in remote tribal Gujarat to bring about grassroots-level development in nutrition and education. My grassroots experiences form the essence of my drive to work towards a world better led, better served, and better governed. I am keen to shape educational policies in India that lead to better learning outcomes by leveraging the intersectionality in education, nutrition and gender. I believe decentralised and participatory governance is key to inclusive development in India.
