Commonwealth Scholarships for master's and PhD study in the UK are offered to applicants from developing Commonwealth countries. These scholarships are funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office with the aim of contributing to the UK's international development aims and wider overseas interests, supporting excellence in UK higher education, and sustaining the principles of the Commonwealth.
There is one scholarship available each year for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship, in partnership with the Queen’s College. For the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships entry requirements, please visit the CSC website. In funding the scholarships, the CSC requires the University to work towards gender equality in its nomination of candidates for a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship. To be considered for this scholarship applicants must apply directly to the Commonwealth Scholarship using their online application form; applications are open from 2 November to 13 Dec 2022.
