Thomas Hale, Associate Professor in Global Public Policy, discusses 'net zero' targets in a special bonus episode of Outrage + Optimism, a weekly podcast by Global Optimism.

Global Optimism is an organisation aimed at catalysing transformative actions. It was founded by Christiana Figueres and Tom Rivett-Carnac after leaving the UNFCCC, having secured the signing of the Paris Agreement by 195 countries.

In the episode, Tom discusses the recent report he co-authored, Taking Stock: A global assessment of net zero targets: the first quantitative analysis of the robustness of the different types of net zero targets.
