In 'Perceptions of Coronavirus Mortality and Contagiousness Weaken Economic Sentiment' academics from the Blavatnik School of Government, the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Warwick have found that the arrival of the new Coronavirus in a country is associated with a sharp increase in Google searches indicative of anxieties and economic fears.
