Joint conference with the Institute of State Governance Studies, Peking University. 

With a focus on changes in national and global governance, the conference aimed to compare strategies for effective national policies and management of interdependence. 

The conference took place in Beijing. Participants included faculty from Peking University and other leading institutions in China, as well as faculty and visitors from the Blavatnik School of Government including Tom Hale as a main organiser; Karen Weaver-Jackson who discussed educational reform; Lord Stewart Wood who spoke on the subject of populism in Western democracies; and Ken Moriyama who discussed result-based payments.
