Hailing from California, Taylor is passionate about geopolitical policy, public safety and security, and international cooperation. She previously worked as an FBI Special Agent, leading international terrorism investigations and managing crisis response at large-scale events to keep the public safe. Many of her FBI investigations centred on individuals who were radicalised online and mobilised to violence, work that showed her how quickly threats evolve and how far prevention systems still have to catch up. Before joining the FBI, Taylor worked on national security issues for the U.S. Congress, gaining firsthand insight into how counterterrorism policy is developed and governed in practice. She holds a degree in anthropology and international affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder. Taylor’s policy interests lie in prevention-focused counterterrorism strategy, online radicalisation threats, and digital governance.
