Nguher is a Nigerian lawyer from Benue State who is passionate about strengthening public institutions and improving security through better policymaking. Growing up in communities affected by violent conflict defined her commitment to public service and her interest in security related policy. She graduated with First Class Honours in Law from the University of Jos and worked in legal practice in the Policymaking Unit at Olaniwun Ajayi LP, where she contributed to the drafting and review of legislation and public policy on critical national issues. Nguher’s experiences in legal practice, and her legislative internship at Nigeria’s National Assembly, reinforced her belief that effective institutions and evidence-based policy can transform lives. She hopes to build a career advancing security sector reform and institutional development to promote peace, accountability, and inclusive governance in Nigeria and across Africa.
