Nathaniel is a librarian and public servant from Singapore. Over the past six years, he has worked with the National Library Board, transforming the nation’s libraries in response to disruptions such as Covid-19 and artificial intelligence. He developed LAB25, a five-year blueprint reimagining the future of libraries and archives, and led initiatives to strengthen the library’s role as an equaliser, a memory institution, and a platform for civic participation.
Beyond libraries, Nathaniel has worked across the social and digital sectors in policy operations, coordination, and public engagement. He was part of a Smart Nation team that developed Heart&Soul, a national showcase using technology to connect Singaporeans to the future and one another. During Singapore’s 2025 general election, Nathaniel served with the Ministry of Digital Development and Information to safeguard the online space from disinformation. He aims to advance participatory policymaking and partnerships that build inclusive, resilient societies. Nathaniel is a Simgapore National Library Board scholar.
