Louisa is a public servant from Australia, currently working as a research economist at the Productivity Commission, the Australian Government research and advisory body on economic, social and environmental issues, where she has worked on public inquiries and research projects spanning a broad range of policy areas, including early childhood education and care, housing construction productivity and data and digital technology. Louisa holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours in Economics) from the University of Melbourne. Her honours thesis examined how changes to social housing waiting list policies in the state of Victoria (Australia) could improve outcomes for tenants who wish to move house. Outside her work in the public service, she is passionate about teaching. Louisa previously worked as an economics and econometrics tutor at the University of Melbourne, and for the past three years, has been a volunteer tutor with the Australian Government Adult Migrant English Program.
