With a postgraduate degree in Constitutional Law and a Bachelor's degree in Law, Laísa aimed to study ways to guarantee social rights such as those related to the environment and housing.
Professionally, Laísa experienced the transforming power of educational management in the private, public and non-profit sectors.
Before coming to Oxford she supported the coordination of private college post-graduation courses, managed the Federal District government partnerships with more than a hundred Civil Society Organizations to expand the offer of early childhood education, and promoted literacy through the articulation of a collaboration regime between Pernambuco state and its 184 municipalities.
Laísa is an alumni of Vetor Brasil, a Brazilian network of almost a thousand public policy professionals. During the Master of Public Policy she hopes to deepen her abilities in education policy and leadership, correlating it to democracy, gender, race, and inequality issues.
Laísa is a Lemann Scholar.
