From the United States, Kaylyn recently graduated from Northwestern, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Policy and Legal Studies. She has worked for the World Bank, the US Special Envoy for Afghan Women, Girls, and Human Rights at the US State Department, the US Diplomatic Mission to South Africa in Pretoria, and the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. She inspired, helped draft, and lobby for the closure of a legal loophole in sexual assault law in Illinois, which passed unanimously and enabled the prosecution of over 16,000 sexual assault cases. Currently Kaylyn serves as the youngest elected board member and treasurer in history for the oldest victim advocate credentialing programme in the United States, overseeing over $4,500,000 in funding for the National Organization for Victim Advocacy. Previously, Kaylyn has been honoured to be a Marshall Scholar, Truman Scholar, Gilman Scholar, and a GLAAD 20 Under 20 Honoree. Kaylyn is a Brasenose-Blavatnik-Marshall scholar.
