Jackson is a recent graduate from the University of Richmond, where he studied Leadership Studies and Global Studies and conducted research on European countries' responses to refugee crises in Syria and Turkey, as well as North Africa. He was the founder and first editor-in-chief of Araneum: Richmond Journal of American and Global Affairs, the University's first undergraduate journal for American and global politics. Professionally, he worked in government and non-profit roles at local, state, and national levels, researching and advocating for policy on a variety of subjects. His most recent position was with the Virginia Commonwealth Senator Jennifer Boysko, where he worked to support key policy, particularly on climate and immigrant advocacy, during the 2025 legislative session. His key policy interests are the prevention and response to armed conflicts and humanitarian crises, and anthropogenic climate change, especially the nexuses between them.
