Bogdan is a Ukrainian-Canadian journalist specialising in digital diplomacy, AI governance, and countering wartime disinformation. With a Rhodes Scholarship, he holds an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy from Oxford University, where he researched the weaponisation of religion in digital diplomacy amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Previously, Bogdan studied Journalism with a minor in economics at Concordia University in Montreal, where he managed The Concordian newspaper with 33 staff members and reported on federal and provincial politics as well as global conflicts. After documenting refugee survival stories with Montreal's Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies, he joined CBC News as a digital and radio reporter in Canada and the UK. Bogdan’s technological angle extends to Youth Innovation Competition on Global Governance (YICGG) competition finals in Venice and Shanghai, where he proposed virtual reality and AI-driven policy solutions for world cultural heritage protection and peacebuilding. He is fluent in French, Ukrainian, Russian, and Spanish.
