Edison Broce Urriola (MPP 2015) discusses his journey to becoming one of Panama's youngest parliamentarians and the principles that guide him in his work in Blooming Statesman, a platform promoting the voices of young people in politics. Much of Edison's work has focused on environmental protection and he recently passed his first law, which aims to reduce the use of paper through promoting technological alternatives.

Carlos Santiago Guzmán Gutiérrez, an alumnus of the Master of Public Policy and the MSc in Public Policy Research, has received the inaugural Michael Cichon Graduate Award for outstanding master’s thesis in Social Protection. The award recognises his MSc thesis, “Universal Social Protection Schemes in Forced Displacement Settings: Evidence from Colombia.”
