Five new, unexplored aspects of life at the Blavatnik School – from studying in new, purpose-built premises to being involved with some of our innovative research programmes: Student Recruitment Week was launched last week as a special initiative to spread the word about some lesser-known features of the School.

With admissions open, we often talk about the MPP and DPhil programmes, their structure and how to apply, as well as offering insights into our students’ work and activities. But beyond the excellent academic content, with Student Recruitment Week we focused on highlighting those aspects that are essential to making the student experience at the Blavatnik School unique compared to other programmes.

  • Blavatnik School students can hear from and interact with former ministers and politicians, negotiation experts, acclaimed journalists and public policy practitioners from all round the world who come to talk about their experiences.
  • Our students can get involved with a variety of research programmes, which not only are interesting but also have a tangible purpose.
  • Being a student at the School also means a world of opportunities opening in front of you: University of Oxford events and talks, Oxford college community, and an energetic city.
  • Sitting in the same classroom as someone with a completely different background, experience and values from yours is guaranteed to make for an enriching learning experience.
  • See what it is like to study in a place that is designed with our student experience in mind and to accommodate our vibrant academic community – a ‘Space to study, learn and exchange ideas’

Over the past week, we’ve invited everyone at the Blavatnik School – current MPP and DPhil Students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends – to spread the word about these exciting aspects of life at the School. We have also reorganised our funding pages to make it easy for you to explore your options with financial assistance – we know that is a common concern and are keen to help you as much as we can.
