The Blavatnik School of Government welcomed the Kyoto Prize Laureates on 5th and 6th May, with a series of lectures and public events celebrating their achievements in the arts, sciences and technology.

34 senior public servants were welcomed to the School for the fifth iteration of our Rising Public Leaders Programme with participants from 25 countries coming together to take part in an intensive week of learning.

Abebe Aemro Selassie will join the Blavatnik School of Government as a Visiting Fellow of Practice, and as a Principal Advisor with the Economic Policy Network (EPN) from 1 September 2026.
