Freshta Karim (MPP 2016) is included in the BBC's 100 Women list for 2021. Freshta is the founder of NGO Charmaghz, which turns buses into mobile libraries in Kabul.
"I work with children because I see them as ‘cycle breakers’ for Afghanistan, disturbing the vicious circle of oppression and violence and creating a space for healing, new narratives and new politics." said Freshta.

Carlos Santiago Guzmán Gutiérrez, an alumnus of the Master of Public Policy and the MSc in Public Policy Research, has received the inaugural Michael Cichon Graduate Award for outstanding master’s thesis in Social Protection. The award recognises his MSc thesis, “Universal Social Protection Schemes in Forced Displacement Settings: Evidence from Colombia.”
