Blavatnik School of Government, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Oxford OX2 6GG
Free

We're delighted to throw open our shiny new Blavatnik School of Government doors to welcome members of the local community to see all the beauty of our new home.

It's a unique chance to have a look around this stunning new addition to Oxford's architecture. Visitors will discover what inspired architects Herzog & de Meuron in the design, find out some facts about the environmental credentials and facilities, and enjoy some of the best views of Oxford from the third floor terrace.

It will also be an opportunity to understand more about the School's mission and meet some of our people.

From 10am to 2pm we will be running:

  • Guided tours with a staff or student volunteer (approx 30 minutes) to find out more about who we are and what we do, as well as note some of the building's most interesting features.
  • Q&A sessions and short introduction to the School (approx 35 mins) with Professor Ngaire Woods (Dean of the Blavatnik School of Government) and John O’Mara (Project Director and Associate at Herzog & de Meuron). Participants are welcome to take a self-guided tour after the talk.

All visitors must pre-register for either a guided tour or a Q&A session.

The event is now fully booked.

Please keep checking our upcoming events for information on future open days.
