Democratic resilience depends on the ability of institutions, civic actors, and societies to anticipate, withstand, and recover from pressures that undermine democratic governance. 

This panel brings together leading practitioners and scholars to distil the emerging lessons about how to protect democratic institutions in an era of democratic backsliding. Speakers will consider what governments, civil society organisations, universities, businesses, and international actors need to know to design more effective responses to democratic challenges.
