Kyriakos Pierrakakis is the current Greek Minister of Education (since 2023) and was formerly Minister of Digital Governance (2019-2023). He is widely credited with transforming the ability of Greek citizens to interact with their government, taking Greece from laggard to leader in the area of digital governance. Minister Pierrakakis now takes on the challenge of modernising the educational system to face the challenges of achieving economic growth and a productive and engaged citizenry in the 21st century.
