This week, the 2025 Case Method for Public Policy Workshop was held to equip faculty and civil service trainers with skills for interactive and immersive teaching, all sharing a common goal: to bring real-world policy challenges into the classroom and enhance student learning.

The team behind an immersive two-day teaching module, which aims to prepare future policymakers for a crisis-prone world, has won the Vice-Chancellor’s Innovative Teaching and Assessment Award, part of a celebration of excellence across the University.

Associate Professor in Public Policy Emily Jones has been appointed Director of the Case Centre on Public Leadership, taking over the role from Professor Karthik Ramanna.
