The first results of a large-scale survey on beliefs and attitudes about citizens’ and governments’ responses to the pandemic were published.

Margarita Gómez, Executive Director of the People in Government Lab, and Lukas Hensel, Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Development Economics, have worked with colleagues in other institutions on the survey, covering 58 countries and over 100,000 respondents. They report their findings in a working paper, describing how citizens are supportive of strong policy measures but underestimate the degree to which others are.

Margarita was also interviewed by Spanish national newspaper El País about the results of the survey.
