From Singapore, Ziv holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (Highest Distinction) from the National University of Singapore, and was awarded the NUSS Medal for Outstanding Achievement by NUS College in 2026. He has conducted policy research under local think tanks, most recently at the Institute of Policy Studies’ Social Lab. His work has examined a range of social issues including labour protections, public risk communication, and social inclusion. Ziv was commissioned as a Naval Officer under the Republic of Singapore Navy in 2022, and have since served in both ship and shore appointments. He currently serves as Co-Head of the Navy Student Network, a ground-up initiative strengthening knowledge sharing and talent development opportunities for naval undergraduates. Ziv is interested in security governance and social policy, united by a broader interest in how states can respond to complex challenges via adaptive policymaking.
