Zhenyao is from Beijing, China. He studied PPE at Tsinghua University through Xinya College and also completed a minor in economics and finance at the School of Economics and Management. After graduation, he joined Schwarzman College as a BP Fellow and earned a master’s degree in global affairs. Zhenyao then completed an MSc in International Social and Public Policy Research at London School of Economics and Political Science where he received the Titmuss Prize for both overall academic performance and dissertation. His research interests include international political economy and comparative political economy, Chinese politics and international relations theory. Zhenyao is especially interested in industrial policy technology policy and the ways Chinese economic strategies interact with political and economic developments around the world.
