Yujie has a background in the social sciences and a longstanding interest in international public service. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Social Work from East China Normal University. Through her work with international organisations, including the International Court of Justice and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, she developed a strong interest in multilateral institutions and how international policy frameworks are applied in practice. Yujie’s interests centre on contemporary diplomacy and its role in navigating complex global challenges, as well as China’s industrial and innovation policy and international engagement. She also serves as Curator of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Shanghai Zizhu Hub, contributing to initiatives that promote youth leadership and social entrepreneurship.
