Yixuan Zhang is from Beijing, China. She studied Materials Science and Engineering for both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Previously, as a project manager, her day-to-day responsibility covered projects that provide the public with advanced clean energy, and shape sustainable energy policy, extending her engineering background into the public policy field.

Yixuan has also provided consultation to the UN and conducted research projects on behalf of the UN to promote policy revision for member states.

Now she serves for a national NGO in China, where she is deeply involved in establishing and operating a non-profit and public welfare service platform to facilitate energy innovation and carbon emission management.

Yixuan is particularly interested in the topics of environmental protection, energy saving, and the public interests relevant to them.
