I was born and raised and completed my education in Hong Kong. I have a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, majoring in sociology and political science, from the University of Hong Kong; and a Master's degree in law and public affairs from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. After a brief period working in management consulting, I joined the HKSAR Government as an Administrative Officer. I have worked on policy areas including transport planning, waste management, air traffic rights negotiation and securities regulation. I have stationed in Beijing and Wuhan in the Mainland of China, representing the HKSAR Government in Northern and Central China respectively. I am interested in how governments can adapt to the rapid changes on the social, economic, technological and political fronts; in particular how governments can communicate effectively with the public amid the proliferation of new media and social media in this so-called “post-truth” era.
