biography

I am from China. After my graduation from Shanghai International Studies University, I joined the Ministry of Commerce PRC in 2008. During my time at MOFCOM, I was involved in a variety of economic development tasks, such as enhancing bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation regarding specific regions, researching and analyzing regional political economy tendency, negotiating and implementing bilateral and multilateral FTAs. As policy-makers in Chinese central government, we are obliged to ensure our policies and instruments are in their best applicability and feasibility, which are drafted to accommodate 1.3 billion people. At Oxford, I hope that the course of public policy will equip me with professional knowledge and methodologies about policy-making, which may help me deal with those practical problems and difficulties encountered at work. By drawing upon mature experience, pioneering theories and advanced practices of British context, I am hoping to contribute to the economic development of less-developed regions.
