Valentina is a Chilean lawyer from Concepción, with experience in litigation, legislative work, and academic research on gender and justice. Her professional work has been rooted in Chile's human rights institutional framework: she recently worked as a Protection Analyst at the National Institute of Human Rights, and previously served at the Undersecretariat for Human Rights, where she contributed to the legislative process for the Registry of Persons Missing Due to Enforced Disappearance and played a key role in developing Chile's first Protocol for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders. Valentina studied law at the University of Concepcion, where she taught and conducted research, publishing on the incorporation of gender perspectives, children and adolescents, and sexual diversity in the justice system. Valentina’s policy interests centre on digital violence against women and girls, access to justice, and emerging technological challenges to legal frameworks.
