TS Anil is the Vice Chair of Monzo Bank Holding Group, following a six-year tenure as Group CEO, during which he established Monzo as the UK’s largest digital bank and a global fintech leader.

With a career spanning over three decades in global financial services and technology, TS has successfully navigated both legacy institutions and high-growth startups. He grew up in India—the son of an army officer and a social worker. Following an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Delhi, and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad in 1993, he worked across Citibank, Capital One, and Standard Chartered in different roles leading teams spanning geographies. He has lived and worked in India, Washington DC, Singapore, Tokyo & California. His global perspective was further shaped during his years at Visa in California, where he led global payment products and platforms.

Driven by a mission to transform the relationship people have with their money, in early 2020 TS joined Monzo - at the time a young fintech digital bank. Under his leadership, the business scaled from a young startup to a market leader with over 15 million UK customers, a European banking license, consistent profitability, and a revenue run-rate exceeding $2.5 billion. In March 2026, he transitioned from Group CEO to Vice Chair.

TS is based in London and maintains a keen interest in travel, music, and food.
