Trevin recently graduated from the University of Richmond in Virginia, USA, where he studied leadership studies, political science, and history. He participated in multiple research projects, studying the increase in political polarisation in historically nonpartisan state offices in the United States. He wrote an honors thesis titled Opioid Policy Solutions: Administrative Law, Legislation, and Constitutional Reform, where he examined how lack of proper oversight led to the tragedy of the opioid epidemic in the US. He previously worked in the Governor of Virginia's office serving on a team with the goal of uplifting an under-resourced region of the state.
Trevin's primary policy interests are improving the quality of healthcare and education. His experiences in the United States Sunbelt have shown him that large gaps that exist in terms of access to proper education and affordable healthcare.
Trevin is a Jepson scholar.
