From Belgium, Tim is economist focusing on data-driven approaches to policymaking with a special emphasis on economic and social policy. Previously, he was a senior researcher and economist for the Creditsafe Group where he worked with governments and sector organisations to navigate economic policy challenges using big-data and advanced analytics. He worked on the evaluation of financial support policies during COVID-19, data-driven foresight exercises on the green transition, and other policy evaluation efforts.
Tim is also a guest professor at the Odisee University of Applied Sciences where he teaches data and analytics, and research methods. Prior to this he worked as a consultant for Deloitte where he helped the Flemish government design and implement a framework for AI risk management. Tim holds a master's degree in business economics from KU Leuven where he also worked as a research assistant.
