Sylwia is public policy professional from Poland specialising in marine and water governance. She holds an MSc in Water Science and Governance from King’s College London and a BSc in Marine Biology with Oceanography from the University of Southampton. She founded the Climate Future Institute, a think tank advancing research and policy solutions in marine and water governance, and also served as the first climate and youth advisor to the Presidential Council in Poland.
Sylwia coordinated the country’s first formal climate education scenarios for schools and contributed to legislative consultations on energy policy. She co-developed a joint EU–Africa roadmap on ocean protection for the EC and led teams assessing offshore projects in the Baltic Sea for international development bank financing. Her experience spans government advisory, international organisations, and consultancy. She is interested in evidence-based policy, stakeholder engagement, and public policy design in marine and water governance. Sylwia is a Blavatnik School scholar.
