Sweet is a policy advisor from Ethiopia with over eight years of experience in the fields of agriculture, job creation, and the digital economy. She led the creation of a comprehensive manual for the African Union Center for Disease Control and Prevention on Emergency Preparedness and Response Framework for Supply Chain during the COVID-19 crisis. Sweet also actively contributed to Ethiopia's National E-commerce Strategy.
Sweet's academic journey includes a Bachelor's in Political Science and a Master's in Development Management from Addis Ababa University. She participated in programmes like the Young African Leaders Initiative and the Mandela Washington Fellowship, organised by the US State Department to nurture emerging young African leaders. Sweet's policy interests focus on effective policy making, strategic delivery, and citizen participation. She believes transparent and accountable governance is vital for a thriving nation and trust-building.
