From India, Swati spent her career moving between the different rooms where development work happens in India: through the private sector, government, and within nonprofits. She has worked across education, urban development, service delivery, culture, and employment. As a Chief Minister's Fellow in Haryana, Swati understood grassroots execution in depth. She went on to execute large-scale programmes across multiple states, including Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Odisha. Most recently, she applied that experience to institution building, as Chief of Staff at a newly incubated development sector nonprofit. Swati strongly believes in systems change, and wants to build diverse skillsets across impact financing, gov-tech, and areas like housing and wildlife conservation, so she can move through them in an agile way. Oxford is where she wants to build the frameworks, skills, and global exposure to do that well.
