Susanna (Sanna) Olai is Senior Programme Manager for Executive Programmes at the Blavatnik School of Government. She is responsible for the delivery of the School's portfolio of executive programmes for senior public leaders, leading a team that runs residential and in-country modules for participants from governments and public institutions worldwide.

Before joining the School, Sanna managed international research programmes at Environment for Development, a global network of environmental economics research centres, working with partner universities across Africa, Asia and Latin America. She also coordinated the network's work on gender and inclusion, focusing on underrepresented researchers in the field. Earlier in her career she contributed to research on renewable energy adoption at the Environmental Defense Fund in New York, and before that worked in the UK as a project manager supporting the uptake of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures.

Sanna holds an MSc in Environmental Economics from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her studies also took her further afield, with exchange semesters at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, Universidad de Concepción in Chile, and the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE) in Mexico.
