biography

Steph is a proud South African whose interests lie in climate and environmental policy. Previously, Steph worked for a sustainability consultancy managing business development, and advising food and retail businesses on decarbonisation, supply chain transparency, and regenerative agriculture. She has worked with British retailers, including John Lewis, and Ocado, multinational consumer goods companies Unilever, Oatly, and Innocent as well as non-profits like WWF and NFFN. Steph is an organiser with Green New Deal Rising, a movement of young people advocating to win a Green New Deal in the UK.

Steph completed her BA in Ethics, Politics and Economics at Yale, where she spent time studying colonial history, working with African artists and looking for adventure - cycling, hiking, and sailing. She holds a Masters in Environmental Governance from Oxford. She is doing the MPP to explore in more depth how policy can be used to address the climate and ecological crises in a more equitable way.
