Hailing from the UK, Sol is an international policy professional working to strengthen global cooperation on energy and AI governance. For the past three years, he has worked in subnational climate diplomacy, most recently as a project manager at C40 Cities, supporting mayors of the world's megacities to secure ambitious agreements on a just energy transition, helping unlock stronger local energy financing from G20 governments, and contributing to an initiative for more sustainable data centres whose benefits are widely shared. As AI-driven economic transformations, accelerating climate impacts and widening inequality test global institutions, Sol wants to focus on the strategies needed to protect lives, livelihoods and democracy, above all by reconciling rapid AI growth with a just transition. Sol holds a BA in Music from Oxford University alongside a postgraduate diploma in law. Originally from Devon and now living in London, he remains involved in music and live events.
