biography

I was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh but grew up in the American state of Kansas. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Kansas followed by a Master of Science in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies at Oxford. During my time as a student, I've served in university and city governments, developed and taught a social justice curriculum, worked with civil and human rights groups, and led organisations centring on the needs of marginalised people. I hope to build upon these experiences during the MPP by learning about public policy and its implementation related to migration and refugee resettlement, particularly the social and structural transformations within reception countries.
