Shannon is an Attorney-at-Law from Sri Lanka with a passion for advancing gender equality, human rights, and inclusive governance. Her work has taken her across the United Nations, international development organisations, government institutions, and civil society. She enjoys working at the intersection of law, policy, and development to design practical, evidence-based solutions that improve people's lives, particularly those of women and other marginalised communities. With an academic background in law, international studies, and human rights, she is interested in how legal and policy frameworks can be leveraged to address complex social challenges and create more equitable societies.
