biography

Sebastián Andrés Tagle Ciudad was born in Concepción, Chile. He holds an MBA and has been a university lecturer in entrepreneurship.

Interested in social issues since he was a child and good at maths, Sebastián studied economics to combine both interests. After graduating, he moved to Madrid to head the Spanish national office of an international and youth leadership development organisation.

Sebastián also worked for two years in the private sector in Panama City and then spent the last eight years in non-profit organisations designing and implementing programmes to support micro and small enterprises in Chile. He would like to continue supporting micro and small businesses, as they are the mechanism that millions of families count on to progress.

Sebastián comes to Oxford from Santiago where he lives with his wife. In his free time, he enjoys playing chess, going out to restaurants and travelling. Sebastian is a Luksic Scholar.
