Savarni is from the United States and earned her MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies from the University of Oxford.
Before that, she completed her bachelor's degree at Wake Forest University with majors in Politics and International Affairs and Spanish and a minor in Middle East and South Asia Studies.
Savarni is interested in supporting peaceful conflict resolution, inclusive democracy, and economic justice in the Western Hemisphere, with a specific focus on migration and refugee policy in the Americas.
Currently, she is a visiting research assistant on the United States Institute of Peace's Latin America Program, supporting the organisation's work on the Colombian peace process, horizontal governance, and restorative justice.
In the past, Savarni has interned at the American Security Project, the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, Lutheran Services Refugee Resettlement, and on local political campaigns in North Carolina.
Savarni is a Rhodes Scholar.
