From Nepal, Sara has worked with several organisations on strengthening participatory democracy and accountability through civic engagement and awareness initiatives. At CARE Nepal, she ensured quality and accountability across projects and partners by emphasising equitable partnerships and legal and humanitarian compliance, while supporting initiatives to strengthen public service accountability in local governments. Sara received public service awards to develop projects in Rwanda and Nepal empowering vulnerable youth through cocurricular workshops on storytelling through art and financial literacy. She is interested in contributing to policy reforms in Nepal that institutionalise citizen-centered policymaking, expand equitable access to services, and ensure marginalised communities’ voices are meaningfully included in decision-making, fostering a more inclusive, transparent, and accountable governance. Sara holds a BA in IR/Economics from Agnes Scott College in the U.S. Sara is a Blavatnik School Public Service scholar.
